Image with the text About Sanford, Florida

To live in Sanford is to enjoy the small town lifestyle of a quiet rural community, yet have the convenient access to businesses, employment and entertainment opportunities of two major metropolitan areas, Orlando and Daytona Beach, both only a short drive away. Combining the old with the new and the rural with the urban, Sanford offers something for everyone.

Sanford is growing, the economy is sound, and the people are known by their friendliness and goodwill. RiverWalk and the remodeling of First Street have added an amazing element of grandeur to a city already nestled so perfectly on the shores of Lake Monroe.

While once a hub for Central Florida transportation with its port on the St. Johns River, Sanford is now home to the Orlando Sanford International Airport, which also has some traffic from Orlando, Florida, and the southern end of the Auto Train, which connects Eastern Seaboard travelers and their vehicles to the Washington, D.C./Mid-Atlantic region.

Sanford sits along the northern end of the I-4 Corridor between Daytona Beach and Orlando. The Central Florida GreeneWay begins in Sanford and forms the Eastern Beltway around Orlando ending at Walt Disney World. Amazing Location!
